About Chris
Chris Caruana founded C6 Intelligence in 2024. After nearly two decades in the global financial services industry as an operations specialist, broker-dealer regulator, compliance officer, product leader, and SaaS executive, Chris observed a gap in the financial crime, risk, and compliance technology ecosystem.
The participants did not have access to the necessary data, intelligence, and operational capabilities to achieve their growth objectives.
- For investors, that was understanding the investment opportunities and which firms to effectively deploy capital into.
- For founders and executives, that was access to operational expertise, experience, and execution, across their product, GTM, and compliance functions, on demand.
- For operators, that was an understanding of what technology was out there to address their needs and aid in solving their problems.
Chris’ work prior to founding C6 Intelligence saw him execute on many notable initiatives, including:
- Built a global team of AML and fraud subject matter expertise advisors involved in a majority of closed deals at an industry leading SaaS provider.
- Developed and executed a GTM strategy that delivered a nearly tripled annual recurring revenue.
- Testified as a corporate representative in a federal wire fraud and money laundering case (United States v. Millender, Case No. 1:16-cr-239)
- Reworked a firm’s hedging structure to the street, freeing up significant regulatory capital.
- Designed, planned, and delivered a full AML solution suite of products in <3 years to transform annual recurring revenue in that product line.
- Led the acquisition of a multinational software company to expand a firm’s product and solution offerings.
- Orchestrated a fundraising round , significantly increasing the firm’s valuation in the process.
Chris’s career reflects a blend of technical expertise and a deep understanding of regulatory environments, making him a key figure in the fight against financial crime. He is passionate about making a positive impact through technology and strategic leadership, continuously working to help organizations navigate the evolving challenges of financial crime prevention, detection, and compliance.
